The intelligence behind ismee is provided by OpenAI's API Platform, not the consumer ChatGPT app. Here's how your data is handled.
Where does the intelligence come from?
ismee uses OpenAI's API Platform for language intelligence, always grounded in your own documentation.
Is our data used to train AI models?
No. Data sent through OpenAI's API is not used to train its models.
Is our knowledge kept private?
Each organisation's data is isolated, access is role-based, and it's encrypted in transit and at rest.
How long is data retained?
OpenAI may hold API data for up to 30 days to run the service and detect abuse, then deletes it.
Is the AI platform independently audited?
OpenAI's API Platform is SOC 2 Type 2 certified.
What about GDPR?
We build for GDPR-aligned data handling and can provide a Data Processing Addendum for customers.
Do you keep our documents?
No. ismee reads a file once, extracts the text, uses it to draft knowledge for you to approve, then discards it. Only the knowledge you approve is kept.
What can ismee see in Microsoft 365?
Only what the administrator who connected it can already see. Access is read only, and you can disconnect at any time.
What can ismee see in Google Drive?
Only the individual files your administrator picks through Google's own file picker. Gmail and Google Chat are not accessed.
Do you sync or monitor our files?
No. Connecting a source is a one-time import, not a sync. ismee does not watch your files or update itself when something changes.
Who can read documents published to our team?
Only signed-in members of your workspace, and only the documents your administrator has chosen to show. There is no public link.
